When you dismount Yoshi, leave him near some fruit and ge will feed himself.

Avoid Dying
When you are about to die, pause the game and select 'Exit Area'. You will then be teleported in front of the level you were on and not lose a life.

Get Yoshi
Once you have 25 Shine Sprites, go to Pinnal Park and complete Story #4. You will now be back in town. The Fake Mario will appear with an egg. Chase him down to get Yoshi.

Alternate Ending
Complete the game with all 120 Shine Sprites for an alternate ending.
